Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how XChat Review ("we," "us," "our," or "the Site") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit xchatreview.com.
We take your privacy seriously and aim to be transparent about our practices. This policy complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other applicable privacy laws.
Who we are
XChat Review is an independent publication that provides guides, reviews, and comparisons related to XChat and other messaging applications. We are not affiliated with X Corp, Elon Musk, or any messaging service.
The data controller for this website is based in the United States.
What information we collect
We try to collect as little data as possible. The only data we collect about visitors comes from two sources:
1. Anonymous analytics data
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how people use our website. This service does not use cookies, does not track users across sites, and does not collect personal information.
Cloudflare Web Analytics collects:
- Page views and navigation paths on our site
- Approximate country-level location (from IP address, not stored)
- Browser and device type
- Referring website
- Core Web Vitals performance metrics
This data is aggregated and cannot be traced back to individual users. Learn more about Cloudflare Web Analytics.
2. Server logs
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare Pages, may keep standard server logs for security and performance. These logs typically contain IP addresses, request timestamps, and error data. They are not used to identify individual users and are rotated out automatically.
What we do NOT collect
To be clear, XChat Review does not:
- Use tracking cookies
- Fingerprint browsers
- Collect your name, email, or phone number
- Require user accounts
- Track you across other websites
- Sell or share data with advertisers
- Use Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel
If you do not contact us by email, we have no way to identify you personally.
If you email us
If you send us an email (for example, to report a correction or ask a question), we will have:
- Your email address
- The content of your message
- Any other information you choose to share
We use this information only to respond to you. We do not add you to any mailing list. We do not share your email with anyone else. We keep emails only as long as needed to handle your inquiry.
Third-party links
Our articles link to external websites (news articles, Apple App Store listings, and other references). When you click these links, you leave our site. Their privacy practices are their own, and we are not responsible for them. Please review the privacy policies of those sites directly.
Advertising
XChat Review does not currently show advertisements on this website. If we add advertising in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy before doing so and disclose which advertising networks we use.
Your rights under GDPR (EU / EEA / UK visitors)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or similar jurisdictions, you have the following rights:
- Right to access: Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you

- Right to erasure: Ask us to delete your data (unless we have a legal reason to keep it)

- Right to know what personal information is collected
- Right to delete personal information
